Description: 1865-S US Seated Silver Half Dime in Extremely Fine condition. SCARCE Civil War issue with a mintage of only 120,000, mostly melted. Some hair detail on Liberty's head visible and the reverse wreath is very crisp and distinct. A little scruffy with some small bagmarks. March 2006 Coin World Trends shows a value in EF of $200.00. Three specialists in better date coins charge OVER Trends for tough coins like this but we are not running a museum.
