Description:
Magnificent French Rococo fireplace screen in walnut with deep carved shell motif and cascading flowers and leaves down the top sides. The bottom center also has a carved shell and the feet are heavily carved in leaves with scroll feet. The needle point is original to the piece. The background is earth tone with needle point done in flowers, leaves, garlands and ribbons. The piece is in wonderful condition. There are three places where the needle point has been mended; therefore the back fabric was removed. This in no way detracts from the piece and it could remain this way or new fabric applied to the back. The piece is usable with out the backing. Would look fabulous in an upscale apartment or country home.
