Description: Circa 1820 Chinese Export Rose Mandarin Exact Pair of luncheon plates measuring 8" in diameter. Rarely do you find a exact pair of plates in rose mandarin. Most of the time it is a similar pair but this pair is Exact. Both of these plates are fabulous. They were recently purchased out of a New York Estate. This size plate is often referred to as a dessert or luncheon plate. Excellent Mandarin Quality and in Very Good Condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. The colours are Fantastic and Bright and Clear. Very minimal wear ehich is rare for plates that are 200 years old. Typical mandarin scenes of five ladies in a court yard scene. Nice and abundant gold in the hair. The border of the plate is decorated with roses, butterflies and other greenery with a nice gilded rim. Additional images are available upon request.
