Description: FREE SHIPPING!!! Please contact us for details. This is a splendid Louis XIV Period writing table handcrafted from a beautifully patinaed solid walnut by the end of the 17th century. The rectangular top is sitting upon a nicely scrolled belt adorably adorned with acanthus patterns and supported by boldly sculpted barley twisted legs connected together thanks to a matching H-shaped stretcher which insure stability and sturdiness. Note the large hidden drawer offering an efficient storage capacity. Several scratches and dents can be seen here and there due to the age. A magnificent antique. Circa 1680. Dimensions 31”high/ 38”wide/ 25”deep.
