Description: We offer an interesting late 17th century inkstand made in London. It is composed of three pieces. A frame, a sand holder and a separate compoartment for ink. Clearly marked with the crown and X of London to the base as well as the name of the maker and other marks . Beinging over 300 years old it is in quite decent shape, with a few minor bends and wear.Suprisingly the hinge of the cover still works efficiently although the hole is slightly worn-please look at the photo.
