Description:
Oral tradtion associates this flag with the Revolutionary War and states that this flag was present at the Battle of Bennington on Aug.16th,1777; this legend declares that the flag flew over the military stores in Bennington,VT. The American militia, led by Gen.John Stark, defeated a large British raiding force thus potecting the military stores. The original flag is still in existence and is preserved at a museum in Bennington, VT. Nathaniel Fillmore, grandfather to future US President Millard Fillmore, owned the flag. In 1926 it was donated to the people of Bennington by the last Fillmore family owner. NOTE there are 13 stars in the blue field, denoting the original 13 colony's.
Measures 3'x5' and has 2 metal grommets for hanging. I'll be posting 17 different flags here including Confederate flags.
Price on flags includes S&H to your home. Thanks for viewing!
