Description: Circa 1770 Chinese Export Tea Poy with Original Cover, This little dainty piece measures 4 3/4" in height. It seems so rare that a dainty piece like this would be in such good condition after 230 or so years. This is another form of the ever so popular and highly collectible tea caddies. Nice mandarin scenes on the front and back. On the side of this caddy are nicely painted scenes with one having a bird and the other nice small painted flowers. The scroll work on the base is only found on this form of tea poys. Perfect Condition with no chips, cracks or restoration.
