Description: Circa 1750 Two Chinese Export Armorial plates. One is a soup plate measuring 9 1/4" and a dinner plate measuring 9 3/8" in diameter. Both of these plates have the same armorial crest and both plates are the dinner size plates as noted above with the exact dimension of both. Hardly any wear on these crests. Both of the decorated crests sre in very good condition as is the border on the outside rims is very nice and in good condition. The quality on both of these plates are very nice. Very Good Quality and No Damage. I have detected very little restoration if any at all. We have checked both volumes of David Howard Books on verifying the coat of arms and have not found the family this wonderful crest would have been made for. We feel that it would be a family from continental or dutch background.
