Description: Diamond & Spinel Ring Circa. 1900 American. What a great combination...red spinel and diamonds, mounted in rose gold. This ring looks great! 14K rose gold tested with 14K acid. Mounted in the center is a red spinel. Red spinel is the most valuble of the spinels. Spinel is a semi-precious stone, which is found in various colors, including clear. This stone has a great red color and looks wonderful between two old mine cut diamonds. Spinel tested with refractive index liquid. Both diamonds tested with a diamond tester. One diamond is approx. .40 carats, I color VVS1, the second diamond is approximately .45 carats, I color VS1. The spinel is approximately .50 carats. Ring is size 7 1/4. Can be easily sized by a jeweler. 5.2 gr. 3.2 dwt. In excellent original condition. Suitable for a man or a woman.
