We are pleased to offer this beautiful 12 K yellow gold and sterling silver necklace with a stunning blue topaz stone.

This necklace weighs approximately 11.6 grams, and it measures about 17” long. The necklace features one of the most beautiful, deep blue stone I have come across. It is a concave French cut blue topaz that is bar set in 12K gold. The bail and the chain are sterling silver. The chain is hallmarked “925” and “Italy” while the pendant is hallmarked “925” indicating that they have sterling silver, the standard for beautiful, high quality silver jewelry being over 90% pure silver mixed with alloys to add strength and durability. The metal will not wear down. (See below for more information.) The pendant is also hallmarked “12K” indicating that the gold colored metal is solid 12K yellow gold, and “Lorenzo” indicating that it is the creation of Lorenzo Jewelry Ltd, a jewelry exporter from Hong Kong.

This contemporary piece is elegant with the wonderful tones of the cool, deep, pure waters of the South Pacific, and will look fantastic against the warm tones of your skin. If you love blue topaz, this is the one you will want for your own.

Nothing finishes your look as much as eye-catching and beautiful jewelry. We offer many unique pieces of jewelry from all over the world for both casual and dressy wear. This will be a wonderful addition to your jewelry collection, and we have other pieces of beautiful jewelry that will go very nicely with this piece. Blue Topaz
The name topaz comes from the Sanskrit and means fire.

Topaz occurs in a wide range of colors including red, orange, peach, pink, gold, yellow, brown and clear and is found in Brazil, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Russia. Naturally pale to medium blue topaz is enhanced by irradiation to produce a more intense blue color.

During the Middle Ages topaz was thought to heal both physical and mental disorders and prevent death.

The Greeks believed it had power to increase strength and to make its wearer invisible while the Romans believed it had power to improve eyesight. The Egyptians wore it as an amulet to protect them from injury.

Gold – general
Gold jewelry will never go out of style because gold is as wearer-friendly as it is beautiful. Pure gold doesn't react with other elements to create tarnish.

Ever since the discovery of gold 5,000 years ago, it has been treasured for its unmatched luster, beauty and intrinsic value. Today, gold continues to enjoy widespread appeal as an investment and storehouse of value. Gold is an internationally recognized monetary and financial asset held in reserve by major governments. It is so rare that all the gold ever mined could fit into a cube measuring just 20 yards on each side.

Gold is dense, soft, shiny and the most malleable pure metal known. A single gram can be beaten into a sheet of one square meter, or an ounce into 300 square feet.

Sterling silver
Pure Silver has a brilliant white metallic luster. It is very ductile and malleable below gold and palladium (one of the platinum metals). Sterling silver is a white and highly reflective precious metal. Sterling refers to silver that is 92.5 percent pure, which should be stamped on the metal as Sterling, 925 or .925, sometimes accompanied by the initials of the designer or country of origin as a hallmark.
