Description: This is a nice clean extra heavy duty socket firmer chisel marked "UNION HARDWARE COMPANY TORRINGTON CONN. U.S.A." on the steel. There is a few small dings on the logo area, so that makes it a bit harder to see. This is a good quality chisel, that has a good sharp cutting edge ready to use. There area around the cutting edge is clean and flat, but there is a bit of pitting note, none that will effect use now or after sharpening in the future. It measures .50" wide x 15.5" long overall, the steel alone is 10.7" long. The spalded maple hardwood handle is very nice, solid, with a good iron ferrule ring at the end. Plenty of use left in this nice clean, sharp, ready to use, quality made firmer chisel!
