You are looking at a Danish Modern style dining table and chairs set. The round table has 2 leaves that make the table oval when they are in. The table and chairs are made of mahogany wood that has a beautiful grain. The tabletop is worn in places but the mahogany has a nice glow about it. There are 6 chairs with this set. The seats are nice and wide with a curved crest rail that extends out past the stiles for added comfort. The wide saddle style seats are covered in black leather like material. This is a simple and elegant set. The table is showing some wear on top however it is solid and sturdy. Skovby Mobelfabrik of Denmark made this set. I believe this set is from the 1950’s or 60’s. The table and chairs are all marked Denmark. We do have a Danish buffet server for sale in our eBay store as well so be sure to check it out too. I do not know the exact date this dining set was made. This set is vintage and will not be perfect. The table measures 28 inches tall, 46¾ inches side to side and 46 5/8 inches front to back. It weighs 73 pounds. The leaves measure 1 ¾ inches tall, 20¼ inches side to side and 46 ¾ inches front to back each. They weigh 42 pounds total. The chairs measures 30 3/8 inches tall, 20 inches side to side and 19 3/8 inches front to back. Each chair weighs 12 pounds.
