This sterling silver medal developed and released in 1973 by The Danbury Mint is in honor of President John F. Kennedy. This John F. Kennedy Commemorative Set includes the sterling silver medal weighting 45.9 grams, the Registration Certificate, and a post-marked envelope addressed to the original owner with John F. Kennedy's portrait, a cancelled John F. Kennedy five cent stamp and date of mailing. The face of this high relief sterling silver medal depicts John F. Kennedy. The back of the medal states his name, his birth and death dates, his famous statement "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country...", and his dates of presidency. This John F. Kennedy Commemorative Set is part of a registered and numbered edition. The serial number appears on the rim of the medal and on the accompanying Registration Certificate. The side of the medal is stamped THE DANBURY MINT STERLING SILVER. This set was originally registered to Mr. and Mrs. Carlton E. Holloway of Paoli, PA.
This is a pre-owned item and there are signs of age and wear on the registration certificate.
