Offered for sale is an original Currier & Ives print from 1872 - 1874. This hand tinted print, titled "Cottage Life, Summer" is in its original frame, with original glass, so far as I can tell. The print itself is in very good to excellent condition. Printed immediately below the print, aligned to the left edge of the print, is "Published by Currier & Ives." Printed immediately below the print, aligned to the right edge of the print, is "125 Nassau St. New York." The print has been dated to between 1872 and 1874 based on this address. The frame in which the print resides measures 14" H x 17" W x 2" D. The visible glass area measures 10 5/8" H x 13 5/8" W, and the printed scene, within its printed border, measures 8 3/4" H x 12" W, making this a "small folio" sized Currier & Ives print. The title of the print appears centered below the scene. With apologies, the photograph shown with this listing does not do justice to the clarity or vibrant color of this print.
