"Cornhill and Lombard Street, From the Poultry" is a lovely vintage hand colored engraving by S. Tacoy dated March 20, 1830. The scene is of Cornhill and Lombard Street - one of the most famous streets in London.

The engraving was drawn by Tho. H. Shepherd and manufactured by Jones J Co, Temple of the Moses, Finsburg Square, London.

The scene depicts a picturesque view of architectural splendor; the Tower of the Royal Exchange, the beautiful tower of St. Michael, Cornhill, and the numerous spires of churches in the surrounding neighborhood. The city scene is complete with horse drawn carriages and strollers. Notice the sign on building that centers the engraving, "MANUFACTRER of WRITING DESKS DRESSING CASES MORROCO AND RUSSIA ARTICLES OF EVERY DESCRIPTION". The engraving includes a stamp on the backside stating, "THIS PRINT IS HAND COLOURED AND GUARANTEED TO BE OVER 120 YEARS OLD". The engraving is professionally matted and framed and measures, 11.00" H X 11.75" W X 01.00" D, including the frame.
