COPPER or BRASS COAL SCUTTLE LION'S HEAD DECORATIONS. One if the lion's head fastener or brad has come loose(see pic 4). This is a vintage copper or brass coal scuttle or bucket. It has brass handles accented with delft painted porcelain fittings and lion's heads. The spout of the bucket is uneven and there are some discoloration and stains inside and out. Measurements are approximates. Handle to spout: 12". Foot to top of handle: 14". Base/foot diameter: 6 3/4". Scuttle interior diameter: 9". No dents but some tarnish and scratches in addition to the loose handle. Unknown year but a guess around 1970's, but it is not my area of expertise could easily be older. It is the reason i put unknown as year.
