Artist-signed faience (tin-glazed earthenware) platter from Conimbriga, Portugal on pickled pine tray table. Conimbriga, Portugal is known for its fine reproductions of 15th-17th century Portuguese faience which was stylistically influenced by Eastern ceramics from China and Arabia. The hand-painted pieces often depict rare birds and greenery on a background of white.

This octagonal platter depicts a peacock and songbirds among leaves, vines, and flowers. It measures about 17.75 inches by 13.75 inches by 2 inches. Painted on the back is "33-A, ESTRELA DE CONIMBRIGA, PORTUGAL, SEC XVII, 9, ROSA"; there is also an impressed 11. There are three holes that can be used for hanging the platter. The platter is in very good to excellent condition, with vivid colors, a shining glaze, and no chips or cracks.

The platter comes with an octagonal pickled pine tray table that measures about 21 inches high, 17 inches long, and 13 inches wide. It has a great European country look and can be used with or without the platter. It is very sturdy, with minimal wear. Together, the platter and table make a stunning accent piece.
