Old
Timers Antique Clocks

For over 50 years our antique clock
business now known as OLD TIMERS has been buying and selling
wall, shelf and tall case (floor) clocks all over the world.
Founded by my wife's father, Lester Watson in York, Pennsylvania,
our business gradually grew into a regional and then a state-wide
network of clock collectors and dealers. After Mr. Watson's
passing in 1988, my wife Susan and I took over the business
and transferred it to our home in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.
From this base of operation we displayed and sold our clocks
at antiques shows all over the Northeastern United States.
While participating in one of those shows, we met Kathy Kamnikar,
President of Antique Networking, who shared her vision for
a world-wide web site featuring our clocks and hosted by her
Ohio based company. We immediately registered with AN in January
of 1998 and the web site which they created for our clocks
quickly swept us into a world-wide business outreach. After
only a few months, sales doubled and then tripled as the pace
of business reached the point where we welcomed a few days
when we DIDN'T sell any clocks--just to catch our breath.
We buy and sell American, Dutch, German, French and English
wall, shelf and tall case antique clocks of excellent quality.
A Master Clockmaker and his assistants, carefully inspect
and if necessary correct and repair any defects so that the
clocks we sell are all in excellent running condition. Now,
with literally thousands of "hits" every day, our web site
sales are beyond our fondest dreams when we first entered
into a relationship with Antique Networking and have placed
us among the leading antiques clock dealers in the nation.
We are Life Members of the National Association of Watch and
Clock Collectors; Board Members of the Pennsylvania Antiques
Dealers Association; the Capital Region Antiques Dealers Association
and the West Shore Chamber of Commerce. We enjoy talking about
clocks and always welcome inquiries about our clocks. Kenneth
and Susan Markley, Proprietors. |
