Simply forged with small, slightly concave axe, curved beak, and 9 ½" knife-shaped spike; integral tang inserted into the antique round-section shaft and reinforced with an iron ferrule. Shows forging lamination. Possibly a trade piece. Length of metal 15 3/4"; overall 89"
