Here is a lovely calender plate like what I remember on my grandmothers walls! It is dated 1971. The center picture is of a windmill with two sailing ships. There is crazing in the glaze both front and back. There is some slight discoloration around the back rim from where it had been stacked in another plate for some length of time. There is a 1 1/2" hairline crack in the back, but is has been there a very long time, possibly since manufacture. It does not go throught to the front. The plate measures approx. 9 3/8" across.
