This is a beautiful cobalt blue sugar bowl reproduction Magnet and Grape pattern sugar bowl with no lid. The original manufacturer of this pattern was The Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. of Sandwich, Mass circa 1870. This beautiful reproduction was made by The Imperial Glass Corp of Bellaire, OH circa 1976 for the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the Bicentennial celebration more than a generation ago. This sugar bowl is 6-3/8 inches tall and 4-1/4 inches in diameter at the rim. The large foot is 4 inches in diameter. The bowl is marked with MMA just above the joint with the stem. The grapes and leaves are frosted. It holds a generous 15 oz of liquid if you wanted to use it as a buttermilk goblet. It would also make a great candy container. I do not have a lid for this piece. And the bowl itself weighs 1 lb 6.5 oz. It is made of quality glass. There may be some bubbles and straw marks but there are no chips, flakes or cracks. Shipping includes insurance. (MIDSHFL-XX9)
