This is a pair of large silver plated claw ended sugar tongs or, in my opinion, pickle tongs made in England 1900-1920s. The tongs measure 6 inches long and have nicely textured claw ends and applied roses on the sides. The tongs are large for sugar tongs and are probably really from a pickle caster but I have sold several sets to be used as sugar tongs and these are very pretty and in excellent condition. I brought them home recently from a buying trip with a lot of sugar tongs and tea strainers. Lovely as well as practical.
