The Cole Bros. Circus started in 1906 and one of its featured acts was Clyde Beatty, a wild-animal trainer who also operated his own circus. After about 1950, the circus was renamed the Clyde Beatty and Cole Bros. Circus. The laughing clown head dominates this poster, with the big top to the left.
