Hand sewn in the early 1920's, this Edwardian style long baby coat is just precious! All fine light-weight wool with a hand sewn lining of flannel, it has a darling collar that is scalloped with embroidered motifs at every scallop. The collar flips up to become a hood for the baby in cold weather. Wide Edwardian sleeves are completely lined with flannel. The waistline is gathered with soft pleating that extends all around the back. There are only two buttons above the waist, and the flowing coat is wide and open the rest of the way down to bundle the baby tightly against cold. The color of the coat is creamy off-white and is 33 inches long from shoulder to hem. The doll wearing this coat is not for sale.
