Here we have a very nice vintage 13-drawer highboy chest in classical Chippendale style. This beautiful piece has a scrolling pediment with a floral carved plinth supporting the central finial. Swirling leafage covers the scrolls and there are vines beneath the scrolls and curling up each front corner of the piece. Vines also ornament the knees, skirt and lower central drawer. The drawers are graduated and have dovetail craftsmanship. Each drawer has a brass Chippendale style bail pull with a solid backplate except the central base drawer it has a metal knob pull. This piece is in excellent condition showing almost no wear at all. I do not know the maker or exact date this highboy was made. This chest is vintage and may not be perfect. This piece measures 81 1/8 inches tall, 42 7/8 inches side to side and inches 18 front to back. It weighs 160 pounds.
