Chinese Porcelain Snuff Bottle Molded in Relief 18 Lohan Ca. 1900

$150.00
Quantity available: 1

Chinese porcelain snuff bottle, molded in relief with 18 lohan, or holy men.  Polychrome enamels in the Famille Rose palette.  Red honorary Chien Lung dynasty mark, actually dates from the Kuang Hsu period circa 1900.  The "Made in China" red ink stamp helps to date the piece, found on the lower edge of the bottle. Measures 3"h x 2"w. Well-hollowed and used, showing wear to the high-points of the porcelain, as this was carried by the owner, filled with powdered tobacco (snuff).  Brown stain around upper rim.  No lid.  No chips or cracks; sold as is.  One other photo available on request.  Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
