Meticulously detailed Chinese Export porcelain tankard, decorated with flowers and insects. Hand-painted with enamels and metallic gold trim. Attributed to the decorating studio of James Giles, 1755-65, of London, England, who imported blank wares from China. Measures 4 7/8"h x 3 3/8"d. Has two chips to the upper rim as shown, but no subsequent cracks. Sold as is. Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
