Offered for sale is a beautifully decorated porcelain Chinese Export Punch Bowl. This bowl was crafted during the late 18th or early 19th C. It is decorated with four large floral sprigs alternating with four smaller floral sprigs, all in a beautiful shade of puce specific to this period of Chinese porcelain manufacture. The footed base of this bowl has an inverted spearhead design painted in orange, and the top rim has two lines, one wider than the other, encircling the bowl. The interior of this bowl has two orange lines encircling the rim above a more elaborate border and a central puce floral sprig. There is a professionally repaired small hairline which is barely noticeable, and the bowl "rings" beautifully. This punch bowl measures 5 1/4" H x 11 1/4" Dia. It weighs 3 lbs.
