CHINESE EXPORT BLUE CANTON GINGER JAR

Unavailable
Circa 1880 Chinese Export Blue and White Ginger Jar measuring 9" in height including rosewood base and cover that has been converted into a table lamp. Also included is the harp and shade which measures over 20" to the top of the shade. Also included is the finial for the lamp. These ginger jars are not the true canton or nanking design but are referred to as double happiness and were probably made for the oriental taste and not that of the western world. But they fit in with all types of blue and white including canton that is very popular and make a very useful and decorative lamp.
