Early 20th century original art comprised of paint on gold paper. The subject is of a horse drawn cart that that been decorated with flags for a celebration - perhaps "boys day" or "girls day". In the sky is a fabulous phoenix surrounded by traditional cloud symbols. It is framed, matted, and sealed, with some discoloration of the matting. Previously owned by the first president of Southern University. It has the artist's signature and chop.
