Child Doctor Knock-Off of Hummel Figure

This little doctor figure is a shameless knock-off of the sweet little Hummel figurine of the "Doctor". The Japan market loved to copy the famous Hummel pieces and some of the examples were very good and have a close resemblance. Other copies were crudely done and funny in comparison. This little Dr with the doll at his feet is one of those extreme knock-offs. The colors are very dark and unevenly applied. The piece has no damage. The base has the stamped red Made In Japan mark. My sister loves to collect all the knock-offs and display them by her real Hummel figures. The group make a great display.
