Cheney Cravats When Eyes Are On Ties Ad 1948 This is a December 1948 advertisement. It is a nice color ad from Cheney Brothers of NY. Picture by Robt. Day. Shows a table with folks sitting around the table. Entire roast pig on platter. Head of house standing at head of table. All eyes of folks seated, plus the pig, are on his tie. It says, when eyes are on ties, chances are it is a Cheney. In excellent condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 9 1/2 inches wide by 13 1/4 inches tall.
