Champion Screwdriver Antique 12 inch Long

Unavailable

This is a rare turn of the century antique screwdriver marked "MADE-CHAMPION-IN U.S.A." on the main shaft. Sears, Roebuck sold this brand around the turn of the century as well a other well known distributors like Tower & Lyon. It is a very well made 12" long slot screwdriver, with the two piece interlocking type steel ferrule, that joins the handle section to the all steel screwdriver tip section, similar to the way some of the Winchester screwdrivers were made. The wood handle on this one is in very good condition with a nice smooth finish, just a few small dings noted. The steel has a few small pitted area, but is not rusty, and the shaft is straight. The shaft is only 3/16" diameter, and the tip width is also 3/16" wide. The narrow shaft screwdrivers are hard to find in original condition as they are often broken of severally bent. This is a very nice example of a very well made screwdriver!
