Beautiful trinket box in a rich thick goldtone with etching all over,including the inside and the bottom of the box. On the top is a porcelain painted or transfer of an english looking cat which is gorgeous. Beautiful green eyes. Inside the trinket box is a thick plastic insert. Looks like it was never used. This piece has some heft to it. Not light. The only mark that appears on it is a paper label sticker on the bottom that says: MADE IN ITALY. Hinge closes perfectly. Would make a wonderful gift for the cat lover in your life. Measures 2 1/2 inches x 2 inches x 5/8 inches high.
