carved Egyptian Scarab grand tour belt netsuke

$95.00
Quantity available: 1
I am calling this a netsuke because it is large and has a hole from end to end where it would be put on or strung on something like a belt or a heavy necklace. I think the belt would be the first choice because it is 3" long and 2" wide and heavy. Notice the sides where it looks just like a real scarab beetle and how it has hieroglyphics on the bottom. You could easily thread a thick cord or silken thread thru it and tie a knot under it to use it as a necklace. OR you could use it as a weight for your desk. It looks to be carved of some kind of stone. Lots of age has really enhanced the beauty of this hand carved piece from Egypt.
