Cartoon Contest How The Traveler Was Saved From Bear 1935 This is a May 1935 cartoon. It is a nice black and white cartoon . It is an answer to a previous contest titled How The Traveler was Saved.. . At center left is the Problem and grouped around it are the three prize winning cartoons The problem in this contest was The Traveler has been chased up a tree by a bear. In fact there are two bears, one on the ground and the other climbing the tree. The solution is the Traveler has a sling shot and he hits one bear on the head with a stone and it ricochets off and hits the other bear. Thus two bears with one stone. Problem picture is signed by Porter. Solution picture is signed by Brislivgen In excellent condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the cartoon. this magazine tear sheet measures 8 inches wide by 11 1/2 inches tall.
