Capitol 4 inch Bicycle Wrench

$40.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a nice, clean, straight adjustable wrench marked, "CAPITOL" on the one side of the moving jaw. This wrench was made around 1888. This one is 4" long, it is straight, has a straight handle, the jaws align nicely, and the adjustment is in good working order, with minor wear on the threaded nut. There is minor wear and pitting noted, some tiny dings noted. The jaw edges show very minor wear. A very collectible small pocket adjustable wrench, one of the few I've seen like it! Capitol Tool Co., the maker of this wrench sold out to Whitman & Barnes in 1893, so we believe this wrench to be made before 1894. This is one of the most delicate fully enclosed sliding bar designed pocket wrenches, very often seen damaged beyond repair. This one is still in great shape overall!
