This is a beautiful example of handmade candlewick embroidery from the early part of the 20th c. The ground fabric is cotton and the overall design is of daisy type flowers and scroll work. The ensemble consists of a top spread, 89" x 64", (2) long candlewick shams 25" x 64", and a dust ruffle 82" x 50" and a 21" drop. All items are edged with a 5 1/2" hand made fringe. The measurements are suited for a full size bed, but it is felt the top and shams could be used with a queen. The condition is very good with only a couple of little tiny stains. The candlewick workmanship is lovely and something that just is not done or seen anymore.
