An original pencil drawing from the estate of artist/author C. W. Anderson, along with the book the drawing appeared in.

Pencil drawing of a horse and rider going over a jump. "#23" in red at bottom of drawing. Matted and framed. Caption on the mat reads "In a case of bad style over fences the judges shall afix (sic) a penalty for such faults". Sight view measures approximately 10.5" x 7.75", with a total measurement of 14" x 11". Back has a photocopy of the book jacket this drawing appeared in, and there is a stick at the top reading "Estate of C. W. Anderson". Condition: The drawing is in excellent condition. The frame is cracked.

Many of Anderson's drawings are funny picturizations of the official rules. Others are amusing sidelights on familiar horse-show figures. Book Condition: Jacket is worn, with rubs, closed tears, small losses, etc. Boards have light shelf wear. Interior clean and sound.
