C. 1960’s Fruit of Islam (FOI) Jacket & Hat Fruit of Islam (FOI), was the male-only paramilitary wing of the Nation of Islam (NOI). The Fruit of Islam was created by W.D. Fard in 1933 to help defend the members of the NOI. These young active members were considered the "fruit" of the new nation. FOI existed until the death of Elijah Muhammad in 1975. Jacket and hat in excellent condition.
