C. 1865 Broadside- Poem Titled "Fifty Cents a Day" written by a Colored soldier. Soldiers were paid approximately 50 cents a day or roughly half as much as the White soldiers. "50 cents a day" became rallying cry for equality in the military for years. 4"X6" broadside professionally framed.
