Circa 1850 Chinese Export 1000 Black butterfly Plate measuring 8" in Diameter. This Luncheon Plate is Heavily Gilded. The center of this plate is decorated with butterflies and a Central Rose. the rim of the Plate at top is heavily gilded with many black butterflies. A very Unusual Plate. Decorated on the top of this gold are so many black butterflies. There must be at least 100 of these Beautiful Black Butterflies painted on the top of a Beautifully Gilded Edge of this plate.
