This is an antique English porcelain butter pat, butter chip or small butter dish. The butter pat measures 3 inches in diameter and was made 1880-1890. The design is a rosebud wreath with gold trim. The butter pat or butter dish is in very good +++ condition with no chips or cracks. There is a bit of gold loss. Butter pats are being used currently as ring dishes, teabag holders and for sushi and sauces. A cute, small and pracical work of art and victoriana.
