$16.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a very nice 19th century, 1/2" wide curved gouge chisel marked "BUCK BROTHERS CAST STEEL". A very nice flat sweep gouge chisel. It is out-channel sharpened very sharp and ready to use. The steel measures 1/2" wide at the cutting edge, and tapers back in width toward the tanged end. The steel is in nice condition, no rust, some minor pitting (not near the cutting edge, and the steel alone is 4.6" long from the sharp cutting edge(out-channel), to the handle. Overall length is 10.1". The hardwood handle is very solid, nice shape, with a brass ferrule, we note one grain separation near the ferrule which is holding it from cracking any further, 8 sided style, nice looking, some minor staining, a few dings noted here and there. A top quality chisel that has lasted many years!
