This is a very nice, clean, set of 4 different types and sizes of gouge carving chisels, all marked "BUCK BROS." on the steel shanks. The smallest width is .22" nearly flat gouge or mild sweep, shaped, marked "BUCK BROTHERS 3" next is the .24" mild sweep or radius gouge chisel, marked "BUCK BROTHERS 5", third wider, the .28" full or standard sweep gouge, marked "BUCK BROTHERS 7" the widest is .50" wide, marked "BUCK BROTHERS 3" mild sweep gouge chisel. The lengthes are 7.5" to 9.6" long overall. All have the multi sided handles, all the chisel are tanged, two of the handle have brass ferrules, two don't, all handle are in very good, solid condition, no cracks, nice wood finish. The one larger chisel is marked "CAST STEEL" because there was room to mark it that way, but all of these are cast steel chisel for the early 1900's era. The entire set of 4 are all outchannel sharpened. A very nice set of carving chisels by a well known maker!
