This is a very nice, 1.5" beveled tanged firmer chisel marked "BUCK BROS. CAST STEEL" on the steel, and the Buck logo also. This is a quality cast steel chisel from the early 1900's era. The steel section of this chisel alone is 7.6" long x 1-1/2" width! This is a quality made chisel by well known quality tool maker in Millbury Mass. U.S.A.. There is some very minor pitting on it, but none in the cutting edge area that will cause any sharpening problems, clean, sharp and ready to use. The hardwood handle fits well and is solid, some wear, no cracks, a good brass ferrule, and is also marked "BUCK BROS.". A very nice chisel!
