Beautifully engraved certificate from the Brunswick Gold Mining Company issued in 1888-1889. This historic document has an ornate border around it with a vignette of two men shaking hands with the words abopve them, "United We Stand, Divided We Fall". This item is hand signed by the Companys President (Henry B. Murray) and Secretary and is over 113 years old. The printer is Martin B. Brown of New York. The company was Incorporated in Kentucky in 1888 and had operations in Grass Valley, Nevada. Martin B. Brown, NY. The company was reorganized under the Brunswick Consolidated Gold Mining Co. in 1890. The property was located on the Mother Lode at Grass Valley and consisted of auriferous quartz. The total production between 1893 and 1917 was $1.58 million.
