This is a nice clean, used, 2-3 inch micrometer is marked with an early patent date of "JULY 3, 1923". It is also marked "BROWN & SHARPE MFG. CO. PROVIDENCE R.I. 63 2-3 LBS", and has the decimal equivalent markings as well. It has .0001, and .001" graduations. The friction brake is not working, doesn't effect normal use, just will not lock. It's in great shape with very little wear, over 75% of the original paint intact. This has no owner's names and or marks on it. It has been inspect, and is properly calibrated. A good old machinist tool!
