What a character! A really cute, whimsical wooden brooch with carved and painted details. When I found this little gem, the pinback was very rusted and half of it was broken away. From what I could see, the original pinback was an earlier one that had been embedded.(Because of the style and age of the pinback and the style of the pin, I believe he may date from around 1945)I removed what was left and glued a new one on. I was unable to find one I could embed back into the back. This is considered in the price. There are a few minor scratches. The paint is in very good condition, no matter his age, he is adorable!!! Right down to his cigar! He measures aprox. 2 1/2"X2 3/4". The shipping fees quoted are for priority/No insurance in USA.
