A classical Greek style bronze sculpture of a javelin thrower, 19th century, unsigned. He has a gracefully proportioned, muscular body, a finely featured face, and close cropped curly hair. The figure stands 19.5" H at the head and 20.25" H at the fist. Measured from a wall, it extends 16.75" L front to back, and 17.75" W side to side. The quarter inch base is 15" x 6.75".
